Home from an incredible weekend photographing this beautiful wedding in Santa Barbara. I love this career because I get to travel to gorgeous places and capture happy moments like this one.
Intimate weddings are such a special thing to be apart of. The fewer number of guests the more you stand out as a photographer during the wedding day. Which means the more I want to disappear into the background and guide things without being noticed. Instead something else happens, I become apart of the guests. When Markie and Sterling asked me to venture off to Santa Barbara with them and 30 of their closest guests I was so honored. They invited me to their rehearsal dinner where we shared a few margaritas, stories, and queso. The next day I knew everyone by name and felt like I was apart of the group. This made the day that much more relaxed and special.

If every wedding could be this beautiful, simple, fun, and meaningful I would be a happy camper. The Santa Barbara County Courthouse is one of the most beautiful wedding locations I have ever been to. The California light, Spanish tile and white stucco, mixed with the pops of bougainvillea everywhere made my heart skip a beat. This day weekend will be hard to beat but I am up for the challenge.
